The CanDry™ Quality Difference

GentleDry™ dehydrates at the level of human body temperature (35C or 100F) and under vacuum. The key is “fast, low-temperature” drying!

Nutrient quality degrades the longer the product is exposed to oxygen and the higher the temperature. GentleDry™ utilizes a combination of proprietary microwave, infrared and vacuum technology which minimizes temperature and time induced oxidation and preserving the natural flavours, colours, and essential nutrients of fresh ingredients.

This gentle drying process is especially beneficial for thermal and oxygen-sensitive materials, as it helps maintain their integrity and extends shelf life.

Traditional drying methods often force a compromise between efficiency and nutrition.

While thermal drying is cost-effective, the high heat degrades essential nutrients, forcing manufacturers to supplement with synthetic vitamins, colour or flavour enhancers —which are often less bioavailable. Furthermore, thermal processing accelerates oxidation, leading to rancid fats and free radicals that can cause systemic inflammation and digestive distress.

While freeze-drying protects nutrients, it sacrifices texture and appearance.
